Fedora Upgrade: F41 -> F42
A belated upgrade to Fedora 42, kicked off in typical fashion, but now with a dnf5 twist
dnf system-upgrade download --releasever=42
dnf5 offline reboot
The system will now reboot to upgrade to release version 42. Is this ok [y/N]: y
A few kernels to remove to recover some space on /boot and all good.
One thing I note as a longtime licensed synergy user for network keyboard-mouse sharing across multiple machines and OSes, is that quicksynergy seemed to fall by the wayside with last package in Fedora 39, and fully stopped working on Fedora 42. And then an install of licensed synergy itself worked fine, but seemed to be replaced by deskflow at next dnf5 interaction. Warring rpms aside, deskflow is also another fully-capable implementation.
